Networking

Networking could be one of the most important elements to working in our industry.

Throughout your career, you will interact with thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people, on set; in studio; in meetings; collaborations; clients and other service providers.

It is super important to be authentic, and humble, while excelling at whatever your role is.

People will remember your attitude more than anything, and it could be what gets you that next job.

A good attitude also includes clear and prompt communication, and discipline in keeping yourself, and others in line. You are a professional, and you should act accordingly.

You never know who you might bump into, and when an opportunity can come your way.

A small interaction with someone on set or during a job could lead to a future client, and possible concurrent jobs that might take you in an amazing direction.

Join social gatherings with likeminded individuals. This will generate purpose and set you up in a scene that might otherwise be hard to enter. You will also be able to gauge your experience based on others, and give you a good placement of your skills.

Networking is super important.
